<description>

The New Hope Performing Arts Camp is a two-week intensive Summer &quot;boot camp&quot; or preparing students to use their gifts of vocal, instrument, acting, camera, video production, stage production, and more. Students learn to worship and hone their gifts under the instruction of qualified Christian professionals in each field. The two-week training results in the students putting on a nearly two-hour theatrical production before a live audience, and for which the students are responsible for every facet of the production on stage, off stage, and behind the stage. See the program for the 2009 graduating class production HERE.

<title>ABC's of Salvation - Find God</title>
<link>http://www.newhopeforall.com/app/w_page.php?type=section&amp;id=26</link>
<guid>http://www.newhopeforall.com/app/w_page.php?type=section&amp;id=26&amp;article_id=51</guid>
<description>
 a:link{ color:blue; } a:visited { color: blue; } a:active { color: red;

Your salvation begins your relationship with Jesus Christ. If after reading below, you&#39;d like help, look HERE

 To understand salvation is as simple as &quot;A.B.C.&quot;

(A)dmit you are a sinner in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
Read more HERE

(B)elieve that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins.
Read more HERE

(C)onfess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.
Read more 	HERE

 1) Admit you are a sinner in need of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Your sin separates you from having fellowship with God. A relationship with Jesus Christ begins with your admission that you need God. You must admit you need God to do three things:

 	1. You need God to forgive you of your sins, those attitudes or actions that don&#39;t meet God&#39;s standards. &quot;If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess ours sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.&quot; (I John 1:8,9)

2. You need God to give you eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.&quot; (Romans 6:23)

3. You need God to show you His purpose for your life.
 	Jesus speaks to us in John 10: 10 in the New Testament, &quot;The thief (Satan) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I (Jesus) have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly,&quot; and in the Old Testament, the prophet Jeremiah writes to us in chapter 29: verse 11: &#39;For I know the plans that I have for you,&#39; declares the LORD, &#39;plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

GO BACK

 2) Believe that Jesus died to pay the penalty for your sins.

The penalty for your sin is death. God loves you so much, He provided a way for you to escape that penalty. &quot;For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.&quot; (John 3:16)

 Jesus can and will save anyone from an eternity without God, and from eternal punishment in Hell. He died and rose again for your justification, to put your relationship with God in right standing. Don&#39;t misunderstand the message of salvation. God is not standing ready to send you to Hell, rather it is your rejection of His Son Jesus whereby you choose yourself to enter Hell&#39;s fires. God has made a way of escape, you must choose to accept it.

 &quot;He (Jesus) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.&quot; (Romans 4:25)

 Belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus for your sins is essential for salvation, but it is not enough.

 &quot;You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe God and tremble.&quot; (James 2:19)

 You must do more than believe in Jesus. You must confess him as Lord of your life. The New Testament continually speaks of the Kingdom of God, where there is a kingdom there has to be a king. In this kingdom that king is Jesus. The &quot;king&quot; is Lord over all.

GO BACK

3) Confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life.

 Confessing Jesus as Lord means to commit total control of your life to Christ. You give him the ownership of your life. He becomes your new boss. Romans 10: 9 and 10 our scripture text this morning tells us &quot; that if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

GO BACK

If these scriptures have been meaningful to you, you agree with them and you want to be saved, then with sincerity, pray the following prayer:

&quot;Dear God, I admit I am a sinner in need of you. I understand I can on my  	own do nothing to earn your salvation. In honesty and sincerity of heart I  	now ask you to please forgive me of my sins, give me abundant life here on  	earth and the free gift of eternal life with you in heaven. I believe Jesus  	died and rose again for my sins. I confess you Jesus as Lord and Savior of  	my life. Come into my heart right now, save me and make me whole. Thank you  	for saving me. In Jesus&#39; name. Amen.&quot;

Now on the authority of the Bible, God&#39;s holy Word, you are assured that if you prayed that prayer and meant it with all your heart, you are now saved. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus.

We at New Hope are full of joy that you have decided to give your life to Christ and we want to help you get to know him better. If you&#39;re in our area, please join us this Sunday or Wednesday for worship.

Also, if you will click the following link, you&#39;ll have the opportunity to let us know about your decision to follow Jesus. We&#39;ll send you a gift that will help you learn more about Christ, as well as give you steps for what&#39;s next in your new faith. Click HERE

God bless you!

<title>No Title - Disaster Relief</title>

<description>

New Hope is actively involved in disaster relief around the United States. When a disaster hits, we send teams of trained workers to the worst areas that are not typically covered by the large, national relief agencies. Our goal is to do whatever work needs to be done to bring help and hope to hurting people. The following story is just one of many...

New Hope for Katrina Victims
Convoy of seniors on social security, soccer moms, students, and medical professionals from Sevierville go on mission of mercy to Mississippi.

Four dozen volunteers equipped with a $60,000 donation representing the 800-member New Hope Church of Sevierville, TN have taken truckloads of food, blankets, medicine, baby supplies, and other staples for victims of Hurricane Katrina in the Long Beach, Mississippi area. They&#39;ve &quot;made camp&quot; in a washed out Episcopal school and begun distributing supplies donated by church members and others since Katrina struck.

 &quot;The survivors in Mississippi are facing the most de-humanizing conditions,&quot;  according to Pastor Tom Sterbens. &quot;That&#39;s where our volunteers wanted to be -  where they felt they could do the most good for those who were hit hard by this  disaster. Our members expect to experience in a very personal way some of the  horrors Hurricane Katrina brought.&quot;

 The 48 New Hope Church Disaster Care Team volunteers who will spend 7-21 days away from the comforts of home and family are folks from every walk of life who want to make a real and tangible difference in someone else&#39;s life. This New Hope Care Team is not only helping countless individuals, it&#39;s also helping get churches cleaned up and available as command centers where people can find ongoing, continual support.

 Sterbens and the volunteers gathered for a prayer service at the church, packed up all of the final donations from the congregation and the community in pickup trucks and 18-wheelers, and left for Mississippi at 4 a.m. on Monday, September 5th. With them went the prayers of all East Tennessee - and the entire nation. They are still there.

 Please visit our DisasterCare website to learn more about our New Hope Disaster Care Team, and how you can get involved. www.DisasterCare.com
